Shadrick Mwanza
Shadrick is a 13 year old boy who lives with his grandmother, his brother Patrick, and sisters Dorcus, Jenny and Lucy small baby sister of about 2 years. . We met Shadrick and his family when the grandmother was referred to us by a man in the local medical clinic. The grandmother was there asking for food for the baby. The clinic could offer her nothing. After the gentleman in the clinic directed her to Appleseed, she talked with Mary and the kids have been coming to school since. They also all have sponsors!
Shadrick's father died in 2004 when the boys were very young. The mother is alive, but does not live with the children. The grandmother does the best that she can to care for the kids. She is very grateful for RHO Appleseed and the children's sponsors!
